Job Title : Production Manager

I started my career with Montupet in July 1998, as a Production Supervisor within the coring department. This involved planning and co-ordinating a production team in order to meet production targets within demanding timescales and cost parameters.
I was then promoted to Total Productive Manufacturing Co-ordinator; a project role to ensure the management of the business improvement process.
In my current role as Production Manager, I am responsible for managing the overall function of a production department within cost and quality parameters in order to meet the customer's needs.

Montupet has given me the opportunity to develop my skills and knowledge in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Job Title : Quality Manager

Having graduated from the Queen's University of Belfast with a BSC Hons Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and an MSC in Engineering Computations, I joined Montupet as a Design Engineer. In this role I was responsible for research and development, and the development of CAD and FEA systems. I then progressed to Product Engineering Manager for alloy wheels, cylinder heads, R & D, tooling and dimensional control.
In my current role as Quality Manager, I am responsible for quality issues at Montupet and customer sites, and for achieving Quality Standards accreditation.
Montupet is a company where people are challenged to be creative and to take on a lot of repsonsibility early in their careers. This is possible due to the unique way of encouraging teamworking to achieve challenging tasks.

Job Title : Projects Manager
I graduated in Combined Engineering Studies, and joined Montupet UK in 1995.

I worked initially as a Project Engineer which involved: the sourcing and installation of new equipment, preparing technical specifications, and presenting proposals for new investment. I was then promoted to Senior Project Engineer, where I co-ordinated the activities of a small team of engineers on high value capital expansion plans.

In my current position as Projects Manager, I organise the Project Engineers into teams and allocate projects accordingly. I ensure that we correctly interpret the needs of our internal customers, engineer the correct solutions and implement these solutions effectively and efficiently.

In 6 years at Montupet I have worked on many varied projects, and have been given responsibility for bringing high value capital plant on line to support expansion plans.

Job Title : Product Engineering Manager

Following that, I was appointed to Quality Manager, responsible for all quality issues at Montupet and customer sites, and for achieving QS9000 accreditation. In my current role as Product Engineering Manager I am responsible for alloy wheels, cylinder heads, research and development, tooling and dimensional control.

Job Title : Dimensional Quality Manager
Having graduated from the University of Ulster in Manufacturing Systems Management, I joined Montupet in 1998. I joined Montupet knowing it was a young company with opportunities to develop skills in engineering and management.
In my first role as tooling engineer, I was responsible for the validation and adjustment of low pressure and gravity die casting tooling. In my current role as Dimensional Quality Manager, I am responsible for the validation of tooling and the dimensional quality of production, for customers such as Ford, Renault and Peugeot.
Montupet has given me the opportunity to co-ordinate projects and manage a team of people at an early stage in my career.
