Montupet uses low pressure gravity casting or SHLP in metallic dies or in
sand for mass production runs, destined for the automotive industry. The company
is thus capable of an optimal process in terms of part design and level of
performance.
Perfecting the design and production of dies, and growing automisation of
production processes is continually reviewed by Montupet.
In addition, Montupet completes its service by machining, heat treating and painting production parts. In this way, the wheel is delivered as a finished product to car assembly plants.
In the same way, the mass machining of cylinder heads, carried out on the
same site as the casting process, allows for a greater dissemination of information
between processes. This not only improves internal quality, but also delivery.

Building on their skill as metallurgists of aluminium, the
men and women of Montupet are constantly developing their skills and contributing
to the technology of the process.

Today, Montupet works towards the solutions of tomorrow. Research and Development
teams use moden tools, techniques and technology to produce innovative designs.
Various computer aided modelling techniques provide die simulation which assist
the design process in producing
faster and more accurate calculations.
From the beginning of our design process, and throughout production, our Research
and Development teams work closely with our customers in developing products.
Montupet works and invests in aluminium production techniques of the future.
New developments include the production of cylinder heads, using a technique
called "lost foam".
Working within our Research and Development teams, you will also contribute
to the sucess of Montupet through direct contact with customers, suppliers
: constructors and manufacturers of components.
