Business Unit Manager


An essential role of the Quality Engineer is to act as a company representative to the customer. From
development through to production, the quality engineer provides advice and support with the aim of achieving total quality.
He or she carries out system, process and product audits, and assists with
the training of technicians
and operators within the quality system.
The role requires a good knowledge of customer requirements as well as analytical
and communication skills in order to challenge current thinking.
The project engineer is responsible for coordinating and commissioning machinery and subsequent technical support, throughout the duration of the project.
The training and team management required to become a project engineer may lead to development within other areas, particularly production.
The Business Unit Manager has a strong awareness of customer requirements, delivering continuous
improvement to minimise manufacturing costs and maximise quality and output through the effective
management and development of resources.
Another key role held by the Business Unit Manager is to build and manage a highly effective team and also to liaise with other production, quality and engineering personnel both within the company and internationally.

The R&D engineer is granted significant independence to both innovate
and lend technical support to production in product problem-solving actvities.
The role also involves contact with international car manufacturers and the
company worldwide.
Product design engineer
The design engineer is responsible for the design and control of new products and associated tooling using various software packages such as : CADDS5/SDRC, IDEAS/CATIA.
The role also involves providing technical support to production departments
and overseeing feasibility studies of potentially new products.
The training and team management required to become a product design engineer may also lead to career opportunities within other areas, particularly production.
Maintenance engineer
The role also involves participating in the up-grading of existing plant and assisting with
maintenance planning and scheduling.
Key project management skills such as: planning, organisation and management of resources are essential in this post.
