Business Unit Manager


Assigned to a separate production unit, the Quality Engineer acts as both support and interface
between the customer, the design office / department and production.

An essential role of the Quality Engineer is to act as a company representative to the customer. From
development through to production, the quality engineer provides advice and support with the aim of achieving total quality.

He or she carries out system, process and product audits, and assists with the training of technicians
and operators within the quality system.
The role requires a good knowledge of customer requirements as well as analytical and communication skills in order to challenge current thinking.

The project engineer communicates between the different parties
involved in the installation of equipment on the production site.

The project engineer is responsible for coordinating and commissioning machinery and subsequent technical support, throughout the duration of the project.

The Business Unit Manager is responsible for the organisation and operation of a highly complex
continuous process manufacturing unit in order to maximise its financial contribution to the company
and the achievement of strategic goals.

The Business Unit Manager has a strong awareness of customer requirements, delivering continuous
improvement to minimise manufacturing costs and maximise quality and output through the effective
management and development of resources.

The design engineer is responsible for the design and control of new products and associated tooling using various software packages such as : CADDS5/SDRC, IDEAS/CATIA.

The role also involves providing technical support to production departments and overseeing feasibility studies of potentially new products.

Maintenance engineer

Assigned to specific production units, the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the
up-keep of mechanical and electrical plant.

The role also involves participating in the up-grading of existing plant and assisting with
maintenance planning and scheduling.

Key project management skills such as: planning, organisation and management of resources are essential in this post.
